My Brothers,
As we move through the final days of the academic year, I’m pleased to share another strong season of progress for Iota-Phi Zeta, one that reflects both the momentum we’ve built and the foundation we continue to strengthen.
This spring, we were proud to welcome a new group of 10 undergraduate Brothers and an honorary Brother through initiation. We continue to be proud of the efforts of our undergraduate Brothers and their Alumni Advisors, led by John Hepburn, High Pi. Please join in welcoming our newest Brothers:
Rev. Dr. McKennon Shea IPZ 984
Daniel Pallekonda IPZ 985
Matthew Athanasia IPZ 986
Dylan Cella IPZ 987
Benjamin Horn IPZ 988
Jack Kouyoumdjian IPZ 989
Steven Lee IPZ 990
Anthony Morrow IPZ 991
Alex Ray IPZ 992
Justin Royak IPZ 993
Ross Wortman IPZ 994
Each new member not only adds to our Bond, but more importantly reinforces the culture, values, and sense of purpose that are taking hold within Iota-Phi Zeta and High Point University. What we are building is steady, intentional, and—most importantly—sustainable.
Our Alumni Association is ensuring this forward progress continues, and we are proud to announce a newly ratified strategic plan, Building Brotherhood for the Next Generation, which is a three year strategic plan that establishes a clear path for membership growth, engagement, and long-term sustainability as we look towards our 75th Anniversary in 2029. This framework will help ensure that our progress is not only maintained but accelerated in the years ahead. (For the full strategic plan please see the attached document or go to our website.) The success of this plan will depend on all of us, and I encourage each of you to engage in ways that reflect your time, talents, and ongoing commitment to the future of Iota-Phi Zeta.
This season also marks a meaningful milestone for the Associate Chapter of Iota-Phi Zeta as they celebrate the graduation of two of our Brothers, former High Alpha Dillon Sullivan, and Jack Roush. As members of the first group to help reestablish and carry this chapter forward, they now take the next step as alumni Brothers and transition beyond the undergraduate experience. Their leadership and example have helped set the tone for those who will follow, and we look forward to keeping them actively connected as engaged alumni. Please join us in congratulating and welcoming them as Alumni Brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha.
Looking ahead, we are now setting our sights on an exciting and important goal: the formal chartering of Iota-Phi Zeta. With continued growth, strong participation, and the ongoing support of our broader Lambda Chi Alpha community, we are optimistic about the possibility of achieving this milestone as early as this fall. To that end we are asking all alumni to save the date of November 5, 2026 in High Point, North Carolina, in conjunction with High Point University’s Homecoming Celebration, for an opportunity to gather as Brothers, alumni, and supporters, together, in celebration of how far we’ve come and the exciting road ahead.
As you will see in the strategic plan, we are placing renewed emphasis on reconnecting with our alumni. We’d love to hear from you; what you’re doing, what you’ve accomplished, and where life has taken you since your time as an undergraduate Brother of Iota-Phi Zeta. By completing our alumni survey, you help us celebrate your journey, strengthen our brotherhood, and bring alumni voices back into the life of the chapter.
This alumni survey is designed to help us better understand where you are, how you would like to engage, and how we can continue to strengthen the bonds of this chapter across generations. We also look forward to highlighting alumni in future communications and welcoming you back to speak at chapter meetings and connect directly with our undergraduate Brothers.
None of this progress happens in isolation. It is the result of a shared commitment from our members, our alumni, High Point University, and the broader Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity—to invest in something meaningful and lasting. For that, I am sincerely grateful.
As the academic year comes to a close and we look toward the summer months, I hope each of you finds time to rest, recharge, and enjoy time with family and friends. Thank you for your continued support of Iota-Phi Zeta. Wishing you a safe and enjoyable summer; we look forward to seeing you on Thursday, November 5 and hope you will stay the weekend for the High Point University Homecoming, and all that lies ahead this fall.
In ZAX,
George Taylor IPZ 758
President
Iota-Phi Zeta Alumni Association
